Most of the 75% ‘Non-professional photographers’ usually capture about maybe .5% (1/2%) of imagery they can use, as 20% ‘professional photographers’ capture the same amount closing the capture rate ratio to 2%. And that is not even a guarantee. To say the least, the content was not published, thereby losing revenue for delays of non-compliant content. Of the 75% ‘Non-professional photographers’ usually cover event photography not specialized in their field. More than 50% of those images are out of focus and have deficient color for inferior lighting. Then, also go through the long vetting submission process. There is another factor involved. Supply and demand of photographers specified in their fields. Lack of work inhibits photographers from staying in the field, so they branch out to differ avenues. When the field becomes oversaturated with photographers capturing similar imagery, it becomes difficult to gather the numbers of accurate imagery value per show. 100 photographers really doesn’t exclaim excitement for exclusivity or rare content. Of those 100 photographers or so most of them are ‘freelancers’ will no guaranteed payout. Meaning, there is no designation other than stock imagery. Those numbers are cut to 75% right off the bat so to speak with no profit margin. Think about the copyrights / licensing that must be distributed in order to share the content. If we as photogs capture about 3000 images per show, with 35 shows, that’s tons of unwarranted and unusable content. Not exclusive, quality or rare content. Let’s take a glance at what transpires in the fall. Around early August or mid September. Fall, you don’t say.
